Culture shock!
Just bought an RV through a charity auction. It's a 2003 Bounder 35R. It only had 3000 miles on her. Looked like no one ever used it. Didn't realize how big it was until I went to pick it up. Had to drive it 150 miles back home. Scared the ______ out of me at first. Just put new batteries in it tonight and it just came to life. Everything works so far. I'm fairly mechanical but This is all new to me.

p.s. Any Rocket III owners on this forum?

Welcome to the forum ....Sound like you have driving a house shock. It will get better as you relax and settle into the drivers seat. The key is RELAX. Just drive it like a car ...centered in the lane. It will go where you look, so don't focus too close in front of the rig. Point it where you want to go and the back end will follow. Make slightly wider turns, especially left turns and give yourself extra braking distance. Remember the number on motorhome driving skill is to RELAX. The turning radius is really just the distance between the front and rear wheels. The over hang behind the wheel will just follow the front. Take your time, be careful and relax....We have all been there....Gary

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new rig.
Check the date codes on the tires but they're almost certainly the original rubber and need replacing. RV tires almost always have to be replaced due to age rather than tread wear.
Best of Luck
Rick
