Hi,
My wife and I have just purchased our first pusher, upgrading from a 30 ft bumper pull TT. We ran across a great deal on a like new 04 Damon escaper with the 400hp/Freightliner chassis, and decided to take the money out of savings and just go for it. We pick it up this Friday. Kind of feel like a little kid at Christmas!
Steve

Hi Steve;
I know what you mean. We bought our first ever rv of any kind, fleetwood providence, in January and I flew to phoenix to pick it up and it was just like Christmas morning. For us it was an incredible life changing event. We have put 6k miles on it since then and visited family we haven't seen in years
but... You are going to love it! I would think the ease of set up and break down will be a vast difference from what you're used to. And your wife will love being able to sit on the sofa and read or whatever while you're driving. If your MH doesn't have it give some thought to "in motion" satellite television... it's great.
Welcome and enjoy
Ed

Hi, Steve,

There are quite a few of us from the Cypress area here on iRV2.com. We get together periodically for dinner at an area restaurant as well as at Texas Boomers rallies and campouts (see link in my signature). Let us know if you're interested - we'd love to meet y'all.

Rusty

Thanks for the warm welcome. We are thrilled to say the least. Rusty, we would love to meet other local folks. We live near the intersection of Telge and Spring Cypress in StableGate.

Hi Steve -

I'm Sandy, RustyJC's other half! Congrats on the new rig - we know you're going to enjoy getting out in it! Going places, having fun and meeting friends is what it's all about!

We know right where you live - we store our rig just down the road from you there on Telge Road....pass by Stable Gate on the way to pick up the rig!

As Rusty said, there are a good number of us from this neck of the woods - so you're already among new friends! We'll definitely keep you posted the next time we do a "restaurant run" and hopefully ya'll can come meet up w/ us.

In the meantime, if you have any problems, questions or just want to chat about the new rig....get in touch and we'll meet you! I say this...not anticipating any problems, but I know it's overwhelming when you first get one...there's always a million buttons you don't remember what the salesman told you they were for!

Sandy

I'll send you an email w/ our phone number on it!

Welcome Steve. I'm also a Texas Boomer but they always plan the "eatin out" run when I'm out of town. I'll let you know when I'm leaving town so you can sit by the phone. Joking of course and do keep us up to date on you travels and fire away with any questions.

Jim eats to much. The Texas Boomers plan accordingly. (Hee hee!)

I'm a Texas Boomer. We live in Texas City, so if you meander down that way, give a shout.

Near Huffmeister and Hwy 290. Welcome aboard. As you can tell, we don't take many prisoners around here.

Hope to see you at a camp out or a friendly meal.

Y'all ever go to Locatellis? My wife and I love the pizza there. Ah heck, we just love to eat! We pick up the DP today. We are going on a short trip to Lake Sommerville this weekend. We just hope we can find a sunrise service on Sunday.

Could luck on the shake down trip. When you have questions just post them on the forum in the best category and somebody will help you...

I'm sure you'll find a sunrise service in the area just ask when you get to the campground.
