hey everyone! thanks for your help and input, boy did i try all those and found nothing. i finally had take it in to the pros. it ended up being a tiny reset breaker button under the hood in the engine compartment. go figure. when i mean "tiny", i mean tiny, the button itself was the width of the lead in a pencil and about as tall as the thickness of a quarter. it took them an hour to find it. thanks again everyone!
