Downsizing and Storage
I'm not new to RVs, but this is my first time ever posting in a forum. I sold my house and began full-timing in 2010, figuring I'd be rolling along till the end, but I fell in love with Arizona's low humidity and the endless, sunny, winter days. Now I stay here for about 5 months and travel during the rest of the year.
I recently purchased a smaller MH and have decided not to tow a vehicle. I purchased Aero's 34 cubic foot hitch cargo carrier, and everything fits-- I also have room for my folding bike, but .... I need some way of lifting the heavy bike up and into the container. Any suggestions? Perhaps there's some kind of a hoist I can attach to my ladder to help me load the bike? Would appreciate ideas.

Welcome to irv2. I didn't know what an Aero cargo carrier was so I googled it and took this photo so others can give you the advice you requested.
Hope it's the correct one.

Gosh kiddo, I just got a bike rack with an tow hookup that fits around my bumper. Good luck and keep us informed of your 2 years of full timing so far.

I don't have a lot of upper body strength, so I can empathize with the difficulty of lifting a heavy object from the ground into a container. Perhaps you can do it in stages and lift up along the steps of an unfolded step stool.

or support it on a stool, then a chair, and then a table - that is how I lifted a tube type TV onto a TV stand back in the day.
