Finally a "Dues Paying" Member

After trolling this site for some time now, we are finally going to be justified in doing so. Leaving next week to pick up our new 2013 Allegro 36LA which will be our "practice" motorhome for a few years before we retire, buy our retirement MH, sell the house, kids and cars, and become full timers. It was pre-ordained for me to travel. My father was a Greyhound bus driver, (and TMI, I was conceived in the back of a Greyhound bus in 1954), I currently am a Captain at the world's largest airline, and my wife is a Flight Attendant. Counting down the time until no more next door neighbors, no more Homeowners Association, and if i don't like the neighborhood, I can unhook, move down the road, and find a better neighborhood. Sounds too good to be true. Thanks for all the great reads and suggestions in recommending certain brands and avoiding others. I feel confident in our final choice of Allegro, and will continue to monitor the suggestions for our final retirement MH. Looking forward to this next great adventure...wish me luck on the landing !!!

Congratulations and Best Wishes for a lot of great times in the years to come. Motorhomes are a lot less complicated than an airliner although they have their moments.

Can't be too much more complicated than the airplane I'm flying now. Let's just say I'm on an extended "Boeing" vacation and on my MH, I'm checking the batteries VERY CLOSELY !!! Enough said.
