Finally on the road

Hi, we are retired and finally back on the road. We were full timers 5 years ago and gave it up to buy a home in Arizona and hated it. Decided we needed to get back to RVing. Purchased a motorhome and here we are. So glad to be among the fun loving, adventure seeking rvers again. Riley and Mary Kay are our names and we thank you for allowing us to join your web site.

Welcome to the club. Sorry to hear about your furnace. I carry two electric heaters just in case the furnace goes out. Even though I am home in St. Louis I slept in the MH last two nights to see how she handled the 28 degree weather.

Will need add a 50 amp service to the house for the MH as the 120 outlet is okay for frig. lights etc but not enough for heaters, or AC units.

As a test for an emergency, I ran the stove/oven for couple hours to get a feel for heating capability. then ran the gen for two hours with the electrice heaters to check out both heating capabilities.

The first was okay but the gen and two 1500 watt heaters seemed to do the trick. But neither will heat the basement. Gotta run the furnace for that, but then again its just an emergency plan.

Good luck with the repairs and happy camping.

Side note: have an inside/outside T-stat with the outside in the basement where the tanks are. Interesting, the basement was warmer than upstairs, then as the temp dropped, the basement went no lower than 67 degrees.

Welcome back to the good life. From Arizona, to Missouri in November, Better get a new GPS? I recommend , input the month, then chose " palm trees" then push search.

Safe travels.....keep the shinny side up, and the roller side down.
