finally taken the plunge

We have just purchased our 1st RV (’05 National Dolphin #5342) after looking and listening and thinking and finally retiring (both of us), we figured it is time to get moving. We live in Covington about 35 miles east of Atlanta so we plan to start with smaller trips around Georgia. The GA state parks are plentiful and not too expensive. I figure some “local” trips are the best was to handle the shake-down process.

After looking at the facilities at several of the parks, I’ve already used the Technical Forum here to get information on using my 50 Amp connection with the 30 Amp service provided at some of the parks.
Thanks for the warm welcome.
JJ

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your RV purchase. You are correct about doing some local trips to get a feel for the MH and figure everything out before venturing out on a long journey. Also we share the same 3 initials in our names, although I've tried not using my middle name or initial, but it's on my drivers license, so it shows up on some things. Anyway, enjoy your shakedown cruises. John H...
