Finally Took the Plunge

We have been looking/dreaming since before we retired. Yesterday we picked up our Thor Hurricane and we are looking forward to our first trip. We have already made plans to go to a "Newbie" get together in Missouri.

Wonder if anyone has thought about having a newbie designation on the RV like they do for the rookies in NASCAR?

Welcome to IRV2. No yellow stripe on the rear bumper here. . You'll be a pro soon. Enjoy.

I had the newbie/yellow stripe on our motorhome for a while ... it's called a temporary plate!

Due to title issue we actually had 2 temporary plates for a total of nearly 60 days, and after the title issues were finally resolved, I was HAPPY to get rid of our rookie stripe!

Thank you all for the welcome. Here is the info on the Newbie get-together in Missouri. Copied from the original post.

Attention all newbies (and anyone interested) some of us are wanting to get together and try out our rigs. We're not orgainizers, but newbies like you. We've made the purchase and ready to start the fun! We have set aside sites at "Cape Camping & RV " in Cape Girardeau, MO for April 12, 13, & 14. Make your reservation and mention your with the IRV2 group, there will be another group camping as well, and we get a special rate! This is the same group found in the post titled "What do you think?" by Craig N Deb. New and old welcome, newbies there's lots of pull thru sites, oldies this should be fun for you as you watch those of us recreate scenes from Robin Williams movie RV. " It your basic hydrolics " Reply with your thoughts.

Hey Jim!

Hey Jim,
I have been talking to Ginny about our get together in Cape Girardeau, MO.
It is nice to meet you! I did give your wife my info and our plan for the trip.

To those of you that asked about our little Rally......we are gathering at Cape Girardeau, MO. on April 12th, 13th, and 14th. Our campground is setup to be Cape RV Park in Cape Girardeau, MO. Our group name is the IRV2 Group and we have all made our reservations with Betty at Cape RV Park. She has been great!

There are a number of us that are relatively new to the RV'ing lifestyle going as well as a few that are veterans of the lifestyle.
All are welcome!! Please come and have some fun with us in a great town with a ton of things to see and do! Check it out on the web.

If you are interested in going with us please let me know and I will get the particulars to you right away!!

Thanks
Craig
