I've been a member here for over a year but this is my first post. I usually hang out on the forums over at RV.net but thought I would start being a little more active over here as well.

We live in N Calif and have 4 kids. Have been RVing since 1991 or so. Started out with a Coleman popup towed by a mini-van and have since had 3 different TTs. The kids are at the age now (the youngest just turned 14) where they don't think it's 'cool' to camp with mom & dad anymore so it looks like we'll start having the TT all to ourselves. We try to get out with the RV at least one weekend a month. Rarely go out of state since Calif is a big state and I just don't get enough vacation time to be able to take any long trips.

Bruce,
Glad to see you post here!!
A warm Welcome to you !

And if I had a day of vacation for everytime I've said word-for-word what you said above, well I could drive my trailer around the lower 48 and take my time doing it.
One of these years ....

Glad to see you here,
Mike

Bruce, hang around some more. We don't bite and growl much around here.

As for the teenagers going camping, when our daughter hit that age, we had her bring along a friend and they would usually want to put up the tent and sleep there. They always had a great time.

Ken,

On our last trip out my 16 yo daughter had invited a friend and they were to sleep in a tent but the friend canceled out at the last minute.
