First RV

My wife and I recently purchased a 1995 Newmar London Aire RV /40' with 65,000 miles. The unit has the Cummins 8.3 liter engine, Allison Transmission, Air Ride supsension and a single slide. The RV wasn't our first choice, but we felt it was the best choice since this is our first RV and I was able to get it for under $20K. It needs some TLC, but for around $5K to $8K additional investment I should have a reliable unit. I have utilized iRV2 endless times over the past 6 months for research on many topics. It has been very benefical especially when dealing with an older RV without any manuals to work with. I look forward to being a part of the iRV2 community and forums.

Educating yourself and keeping current is a never ending process.
FMCA and GoodSam RV Rallies offer great seminars for newbies and veterans.
Also books avail thru Campingworld (or Amazon) like "10 Minute Tech" (3 Vol)
and "The RV Handbook" provide great information at your finger tips.

Welcome to irv2, and to the Newmar group. Skip down a ways and go to the manufacturers groop and ask away in the Newmar groop. Good bunch of folks there and lots of information. Might want to join the Kountry Klub. Good folks and lots of fun.

Hi Topcom and

The London Aire was (I believe) the top of the Newmar lineup back in the 90's so you have a great coach there. Have fun getting it back into shape and then even more fun getting out and using that bad boy!

Hey, how about some pics??? We all LOVE coach pictures here.

Sounds like your going to have a nice coach. It will always take a little time to get things where you want them even in buying a new coach. We all do it so you'll have fun and be happy after your finished. Enjoy it and have fun. Safe travels and enjoy.
