me and my wife recently bought a 92 pace arrow from my uncle who was the second owner.we want on a weekend trip to watkin's glen in new york for the wine tasting festival.while climbing a mountain on route 15 in pa. the motorhome started to lose power,just made it to the top when it quit running.called for a tow from the service allstate provides,but that's another story in it's self.had the rig towed back to town and worked on to find that the cat decided to self destructe and clog the exhaust system,after fixing that problem we were off again only to get over the mountain and have a tire blow out.limped the rest of the way to the wine festival,had a service come out and fix the flat the next day.headed out on sunday and were about 30 miles from home when the m.h. started to act up again and left me sranded again.had the m.h. towed again at three times the rate because it was sunday.had the rig towed to my house when it had another tire blow out,did i happen to mentition that it was our first anniversary.were still laughing about that.

Wow! What a chain of events! But, Happy Anniversary!

Sure sorry to hear of all the other trouble.

Sounds like the tires all need to be replaced for sure, which I'm sure you've already done.

Hope your next trip out is completely uneventful except for lots of fun and enjoyment!

Welcome to the forum. Sorry for your troubles. It's going to take some time to work out the bugs... especially if your uncle hadn't used it much lately.

Feel free to post questions in the applicable forums.

Check the date codes on those tires. If they're old and have been sitting they're probably not safe to ride on at all.

Obviously your uncle did not perform satisfactory maintenance so that means you will have to begin that maintenance schedule. Tires are only safe for the first five years after that tires become hard and run the risk of separating. Check the rear differential oil, fuel filter, and get the chassis lubricated. You will spend some money from it sounds like but it's for the best.

Glad you survived your first trip. All RVs require a lot of maintenance. it sounds like you need to get all the fluids changed, flush the brake lines, change the filters, check the wheel beatings and brakes, service the generator, change the spark plugs and plug wires and change the engine coolant before you hit the road again. And new rubber all the way around.
