Stumbled across this site and thought I'd chime in. We are back into RVing after a long absence. Had a neighbor that got old and mentally challenged and the family had to step in and put them both in a managed care facility. Talked w/ their family and ended up purchasing their truck and 5th wheel. Both had been parked in his shop for about five years and were lightly used before then. They had both been maintained very well . The PO was a chief of the State Patrol and a fixed and rotary wing pilot. He was a certified aircraft mechanic. The truck and trailer both had always been stored under cover and in great shape. The truck is a 1991 Dodge D350 - 5.9 Cummins w/ Banks intercooler and power pak. Trailer is a 1989 Travel Lite 30 ft. We are getting pretty long in life ourselves (I will turn 75 in a couple of months) but we are looking forward to doing some traveling and have some fun before they smack us in the face with a spade. She really likes learning about the Oregon trail and the early pioneers so we will be traveling the trail (in reverse) on our adventure.
I am really impressed w/ this forum and the depth of information found on it. Looking forward to participation and sharing what little I know. Fat fingers and small keys syndrome struck again - just noticed I left the second L off my name!

That truck will outlast your needs and the next 2 owners, assuming you do some regular PM on it. With both being stored inside, I bet they are great shape. Have fun in your adventures on Oregon Trail and other places.
