hello, kaye and trish here.

kaye is a retired airline pilot and trish is his darling wife and dog mommy.

we live in the texas hill country where we rescue dogs and have other assorted animals as we prepare the ark for the great flood. ha ha, just kidding.

we are new to the motorhome community but it is something we dreamed about for years. we are active on the tiffin rv forum and are always looking for good ideas--you know, the ideas that come to you after you've screwed it up every other possible way?

we have a list of items mr. ziffel has requested be attached to him such as a home theater (he loves watching himself on nick at nite), a tow setup for his newest friend, honda "toad" crv, and an inverter for when he wants to get buck wild.

we look forward to hearing from all of you crazy cats out there!

thank you all for your gracious welcome.

we will be heading out tomorrow for a weekend valentine's day getaway to potters creek COE campground at canyon lake. this will be our first time there; we will post our experience next week.

i just finished toting some stuff up to mr. ziffel. trish had been there earlier and i found a bottle of champagne and half a dozen chocolate-covered strawberries in the fridge.

Kaye, Trish, mommy, & Mr. Ziffel:

Hi and a big WELCOME to iRV2. We just got to your beautiful State of Texas and are hunkered down here by Rockport waiting, and waiting,....and....waiting for some warm and DRY weather. Man!!....if it wasn't for the warmth of the great Texas folks down here, it would almost be unbearable .

We heard and read a bit about "the Texas hill country" and are tentatively planning to visit your area this upcoming March or April. Have kinda thought about Fredricksburg, but sure would like any suggestions YOU might offer.

Again, Welcome aboard. Hope ta meet ya sometime down the road.

Steve & Lynette

the hill country is beautiful, no doubt about that, and you can't really go wrong visiting anyplace up here. fredericksburg is especially nice and there is a really good WWII museum there (fredericksburg is adm. chester nimitz's home town). as you may have read, the hill country is very german and that is the primary influence you'll find throughout the area. that and peaches. mmm.

the rain--yes. well, we have certainly had our fill. our kennels (we rescue dogs) are now mud bogs but thankfully most of the dogs finally decided to get in their dog houses and stay there for the time being. we have a lot of drying out to do.

we live in boerne which is on the way to fredericksburg. please pm us when you're on your way. we'd be happy to meet for a meal!
