Hi to all. We are Marv and Holly, we have owned motor homes since 1986. Our current is a 2006 Itasca Suncruiser. We both just retired the end of June. Since then we have volunteered at two lighthouses and a state park in Michigan. We are currently volunteering at a state park in New Mexico. We love the full timing life style and hope to keep doing it for a long time.

Tell us how you came up with those gigs - sounds like something we'd like to do also.

Welcome Marv and Holly,

You have a wealth of info to share on being a campground host. Which state park in Michigan were you volunteering in? I was reading the process on the DNR website a few weeks ago. Thank you for taking the time to care.

Thanks to all for the warm welcome. We worked two lighthouses that we found on line, the first is Sable Point Lighthouse Keepers Assoc. This one they supply housing and they staff 3 different lights. The other one is 40 Mile Point Lighthouse, this one you need a camping unit and they provide a full hook up site. They are both in Michigan and both have web sites. We volunteered at Young State Parkin Michigan it is by Boyne City. If you are interested in being a volunteer you need to fill out the app. on line but also send a copy to the parks you are interested in. Hope this answers everyone's questions.
