Well, y'all, we've made it to Medicare age. Time to play. Having given up sailing the islands, we're now about to embark on a bit of land yachting! Bought a coach, shopping for a trailer, gonna pack up the motorcycles, the car and my watercolor painting gear, along with Kay's embroidery machine and we'll be hitting the road soon (after doctor's appointments are done, house guests leave, etc). We're going to explore our own beloved Florida for awhile until Jack Frost retires to the North Pole for the season. Then, we'll start working our way north and west for some Undiscovered Country.
Like a lot of you, Kay and I have created a blog so that family and friends can live the RV experience vicariously through us. If you're of a mind, check it out at
www.BigRigRoads.wordpress.com.
Right now I'm documenting my research on how I chose an RV, approaching buying a trailer, tires, DIY projects, etc. So if you see stuff over there that ain't exactly so from your experience, I'd love to hear about it! I've been a boater for 40+ years, and while there are a LOT of similarities to life on the road, we have a LOT to learn! and I'm soliciting advice & counsel
Ultimately, we hope to be documenting people, places & things of interest "out there", but right now, we're in the midst of the "arming up sequence", gearing up for the big roll.
Thanks in advance. iRV2 is the BEST !
