Getting Ready

Hello All,
I am getting ready in the next 7-8yrs to retire and was on one of the other forums about when to start looking. Had a bunch of great ideas. My question is, where to start looking, ie: best states, dealers etc etc. Live in Maine and it is not the best place to be looking. Not many dealers around here. So looking for a little guidance.

Hi Tony

Glad to have you here in the forum with us.

I know it may be a bit of a trip for you. But the RV show in Hershey Pa. (billed as the largest RV show in the country), is worth going to. You can literally spend days there and see all the RVs next to each other. Good place to hook up with a dealer too. The dates are Sept 14-18.

Happy Trails!!!

Welcome! My wife and I just bought our first motorhome. She is retired but I have 3 years to go. We looked for over two years. We thought the time was right when we saw what we felt was a coach at a price that would work for us. The only trouble is now that we have it I really want to retire early and use it. We are on the West Coast so can't be of much help on where to look. We did purchase from a dealer ~ 400 miles from home and it has worked out fine so far. Have fun!

Toni and Ruth,
Thank you very much for your help. I have a camp in Tioga County and just returned from there for a three day fishing trip. I am very familiar with Hersey, so that will probably be a trip we will try to make this fall.
