Getting ready to hit the road.....for a long, long time

Hi, name's Rick I'm 52 and I have had just about enough of the rat race. I am currently in the process of selling my house of 12 years and everything associated with it. Longest I've ever been in one place and I'm out. Prior to my attempt at settling down I was quite nomadic, living and working from north of the arctic circle in Alaska to the great north woods of Maine and many, many places in between. After two weeks of driving all over the northeast dealing with pathologically lying Craigslist patrons trying to sell junk I came across the rig I was looking for - a 1992 28' American by Cobra class C RV on an E350 chassis, 34K miles and in damn good shape. I figure somewhere within the next month or so the house should be sold and during that time I am going to go right through it, full service on the engine and chassis, install 300 watts of solar, catalytic heat, seal the roof, composting toilet, LCD tv, etc., etc.. I'll be bringing my two cats with me, Morgan who's 14 and The Dick, 4, which should prove to be interesting. I've travelled in trucks, planes, ships, and trains but never in an RV I'll be frequenting this forum with many questions. I'd post a few pictures of the old girl but for whatever reason it won't let me, thanks, Rick

I noticed you said composting toilet.

Does it currently have one or are you converting to it?
