We just picked up our first "new to us" '92 Fleetwood Jamboree 28 ft. Class C. Took her out for a nearby two night camping trip to try everything out and make sure all was working as it should be. The unit seems to have been well looked after by the previous (one only) owner. Only problem we had was the seal on the sink leaked. Hubby took it apart, saw the problem and had it fixed right away. We leave for a two week trip this coming friday, from lower mainland BC to Terrace.
This forum is a wealth of information, and I thank you all for your input. I am sure we will be calling on you for help as we go along.

anneandgib, you will love this forum. I found it by accident while we were waiting on our Motorhome to come in. I have found out so much more on this forum than I did in my manuals. I'm in here everyday reading and learning. I've owned several Motorhomes and I'm still learning things.
This is a great group of people on here. I wouldn't know what to do without them.

anneandgib, WELCOME to iRV2!!

Looks like everyone else has covered all the bases, but don't forget to check out the regions at the bottom of the main iRV2 page....The U.S. is "divided up" into regions where there's always a chance to get together with another camping family...

Glad to have you on board!!

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'll let you know how our first big trip goes. We leave lower mainland BC this Friday and head for Terrace, BC. Plan on taking four days to get up there, visit with the grandchildren about a week, then three or four days to come home again.

We are back from our first two week trip in our '92 Jamboree. Had a great time, getting the feel of travelling in a motorhome for the first time in our lives. We LOVE it!!!!
Had a few problems. The dash air conditioning stopped working about an hour into our trip. Fortunately the weather was not really hot enough to warrant using it anyway that first week, but the last four or five days we would have appreciated it. I guess the good thing is that without it our fuel consumption was less. There is a sticker under the hood that says that there was some type of service done on the a/c eleven months ago. Phoned the rad shop, but they said no warranty, so no luck there. Planning on phoning the dealer that we bought this rig from about three weeks ago and see if they will do anything about it.
One funny thing that happened- my husband was in the shower and I heard this thud and an expletive from him. The shower hose (a flimsy plastic thing) had exploded and the hot water was just spewing out of what was left of it. Next RV parts shop and we now have a much better quality hose and that is working well.
It has been a long day and we are glad to be home, so will catch up later.
