Go Big or Go Home!

Hello all,

My wife and I just purchased our first RV. We've always boated most of our lives and in fact still own a nice 50' Sea Ray Sundancer. However, we've decided to try the land yacht version of boating. It sure seems like you can go further and see more a lot less expensively!

Our new to us land yacht, is a 2008 Fleetwood Providence 40X. We are pretty excited about it and can't wait to get on the road. We are aware of the steep learning curve, especially since we started with such a large vehicle for our first purchase. With that in mind, I'm sure we'll be posting many questions and learning for all of you. For that, we thank you in advance!

Paul and Chris

Thanks all for the warm welcome!
Actually we have the boat for sale now. I'm sure we'll miss it but looking forward to the next chapter.

Congrats and have many safe and happy travels. I had a Sea Ray, not quite as big as yours, but in my opinion traveling with a MH is much easier, less expensive, and more fun than in a boat. And we were boaters for most of my life. Handling the MH will be easy to you after maneuvering a 50' boat.

We did the yacht/yacht club thing. Just got tired of going up river then down river and wanted to see the county. Sold the boat/boat well and dock space at the club. Kind of miss the parties and dinners though.

We did the same thing....bought a boat which I swear cost me $300 every time I looked at it. When we sold the boat we bought the RV and absolutely love it. This forum and helpful info from members will go a long way to helping with general RV knowledge. Welcome aboard.

Safe and Happy Travels
