Good Morning from Iowa,,,,,, currently...

First post for this forum. We've travelled from Seattle (home port) to the mid-west, Iowa to be exact. We're in the process of trading off SOB of RV, and have purchased a new RV. Not quite what we had planned when we left Seattle. Anyway, once the dealer gets the RV properly equipped, we're heading for sunshine, hopefully before we start seeing snowflakes here in Iowa.

Have been RV'ing for a number of years; originally in a 26-foot cabin cruiser when our kids were little. With the boat, we could go into all the little bays and harbors in our area in Alaska. Years back we graduated to the lower 48, where moving around with a boat proves more difficult. Naturally, this called for a more conventional RV that we purchased. Having this SOB of RV for a few years, we've decided to move up in the world to a more suitable/comfortable RV for full-timing. Having sold the brick and mortar type domicile this past March, we have chosen to live-in for a couple years. We'll see how this goes. Hoping to make the southwest more of a home than Seattle. Guess we're tired of the rain.

Anyway, glad to be part of this forum. Am a member of the old SOB RV forum, and found it to be quite helpful. I expect this one to be the same. gebills.

SOB of RV,

welcome! 😃😃
Just wondering if SOB RV means the same thing on the west coast as here in the east? I think it does but you threw me off with SOB forum. 😕🙈🙉🙊
Anyway, what did you get?

Welcome!. Where in Iowa are you? We are in Iowa near Davenport. 23 Degrees last night, 26 now. Today and long range forecast look nice. What RV did you buy and where. Post picks when you can. Enjoy the new rig.

OK, I'll be "that guy". What's a SOB of RV? When I see SOB there's only one thing that comes to my mind!

Edit: I googled it and found out that it meant Some Other Brand of RV.
