Greenhorns from South Texas
I've already posted on a couple of pages and gotten wonderful response to our newbie questions and I discovered the new member check-in today. My husband and I live a little southeast of San Antonio [Go SPURS!] and he fulfilled a dream of mine two weeks ago when we purchased our 2007 Forest River Lexinton. He's retired from the State of Texas and I retired from GM, the State of Texas and our local county so now it's time to play
While getting to know our new rig is a lot of fun, there is a fair bit of frustration, too because before three weeks ago, neither of us had even set foot in an RV.
We plan to take it to our place in the country and get familiar with it before taking it on the road later this summer. If we like it as much as I think we will, I can easily see us upgrading maybe as soon as next year.
In the meantime, I will continue to lurk and learn as much as I can about how MHs work and how to keep them well maintained and running.

howdy from SC and welcome to the forums. Trust me, you are going to love RVing and will be upgrading. We started in 1988 with a popup that we used for about 10 years. Then we gave up on RV's and bought a vacation home. Sold that and bought another vacation home. Live in that one full time now but in 2010 we bought an rpod. the next year traded that in for a 34' TT. The next year traded that in for our current MH that we now have 2 years and absolutely love it. Now unless we decide to live in an RV full time we'll keep this one, but I can't deny some of those diesel pushers are awesome!

Shouldn't that be "longhorns" from south Texas? Welcome to IRV2!
Congrats on the new rig! Keep her between the ditches!
Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!
