Just learned of this group from another member (
steelpony5555 on RV net) here in town. Been looking, learning and lusting at RV's for years and myself and wife finally got our first "real" RV TT this past Nov. Got a new 2008 Coachman 29 ft. Had it out once and love it so far.
Look forward to learning from those that've "been there, done that".

Glad to have you join iRV2. Now you need to make it to some of the Texas Boomers rallies.

You really messed up. This is a sickness! Next thing you know you will be putting the house up for sale and hitting the road fulltime. Welcome to the forum

Since you live in Copper Ass Cove as I did before I retired from the Army, may I assume (yeah, I know), that you are in the Army at Ft. Hood? In any case, welcome to the forum.

First off, thank you all for the very warm welcome. I could tell by the Texas Boomers site that this was a great bunch of folks.

We've been in Cove for 15 years. After serving (by choice) 16 of my 20 years in the Army in Germany, I figured wherever they sent me for my last stint, we'd call home. Been here ever since.

As far as full timing, don't think so. Although I love traveling, I'm a do it yourselfer and I like a yard. Need my garage and work shed :-)

Getting to a Boomer Rally. The bug has already bit. I signed up for Canton last night. Hope to see and meet all of you there!

I was assigned to Ft. Hood for what was appropriately called my "terminal" assignment. But I fixed them - I'm still alive 30 years later. Just played golf at Clear Creek last Saturday.

Christian & Sabine;

Welcome to the Form. I am also a Coachmen owner (SOA 28 RLS ). We had a Coachmen for 6 years and enjoy it very much. We used to live a Morgans Point, just across the lake from Ft. Hood We always heard the guns banging away when you guys were training.. Again welcome and post often.

Steve

That's the same one we've got. Love it! They seem to be a semi entry level TT but seem to have all the anemities that I hear others wishing theirs had. Spent most of today making mods and getting ready for Canton.

We may attend that camp out also, but haven't made or final decision as yet. This will be our first Texas Boomers visit if we decide to go. I believe the actual camp spot will be in Athens, if I'm not mistaken. If we go, we will try to meet you. BTW what mods are you doing?
