Hi this is my first post. We live in the Dallas Texas area and were wondering if there is a group of people in the area who rally together in the area on weekend trips. We used to belong to FMCA, but now have a 5th wheel. We have checked out a couple of Good Sam groups. We are just interested in meeting others who like to "Getaway" for 3 or 4 days since we aren't ready to retire just yet. Hope to hear from some of you soon.

Welcome Getaway; We are North of Houston already retired . You will meet a lot of good folks here and always find good information. I know there are groups that get together and I'm sure they will chime in soon. Anyway, welcome to the forum and Happy Trails.

Getaway,

Welcome to iRV2.com! We're glad you found us.

Please check out the Texas Boomers website at the link in my signature. You'll find that we're just a bunch of folks who like to get together, enjoy each others' company and have a good time - regardless of the size and type of rig one might have. In addition to the statewide rallies, the Texas Boomers have regional get-togethers in Southeast, Northeast and the Hill Country areas to provide us with additional opportunities to get together without having to travel as far.

We'd love to have you join us on our next outing - check the South Central forums toward the bottom of the main page to find one that might fit your schedule.

Rusty

Hey from San Antonio, welcome. We will be stopping off for a few days on our way to OK in a couple of weeks. Can you suggest a park around the Dallas area???

RV Ranch on I35W in Burleson (just south of Fort Worth) is quite nice.

Getaway welcome to irv2.
Just to let you know that irv2 has a National rally in Branson this July where you can meet some more irv2's and have some fun as with the Texas Boomers, who some are attending the National rally.
Enjoy the forums and do post often.
