Smile Greetings from Newbee's in NV

Hi all and Happy Easter!

A little about us. We're happily married of 25 years. I retired from the US Army in 1996. We both work and have a wonderful son who's a senior in college at our local university.

We're pretty new the RV'ing thing and enjoy the information exchanges on the forums. We're not full timers, we just love camping and we got tired of camping in a tent. We also tailgate a lot at our local university for football. A lot of folks upgrade a little at a time, maybe from a tent to a pop up, from that to a small travel trailer, then to a 5th wheel, toy hauler or coach. We went straight from tent to coach and love it. We live in Reno, Nevada, just a hop and a skip from beautiful Lake Tahoe. Locals here fondly refer to it as "The Lake". When you say "The Lake" in conversation, no one asks which lake. It's understood.

Our motorhome is a very nice, 2005 National RV, Dolphin 5320, gasser with the 8.1 Chevy on a workhorse chassis. It had around 16k miles on it when we got it, with no issues at all. We've been having a really good time equipping it with everything needed and members from another forum have been helpful with that. We do a lot of Friday nights in it, just sitting next to the house and we've done one trip to San Francisco to attend the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl football game. Upgrading the electronics is a continual project, but we're getting there, and it's sure fun. Most recent upgrade was a 32" flat tv for the basement and outside viewing. It isn't there permanently, but it's light and easy to set up quickly.

Looking forward to meeting nice folks here.

Army Green:

Hi from out winter camp here in Florida, and, a GREAT BIG WELCOME to the iRV2 gang.

My wife (Lynette) and I have been on the road full time since 05 and really enjoying it. In fact we've stayed in your neck of the woods and...MAN...it sure is beautiful country there. We DID spend alot of time exploring around .."the lake." Also had a great time over in Virginia City.

Anyway, WELCOME again.

Steve & Lynette

Army Green;

Congratulations on the purchase of your 2005 Dolphin. I congratulate you for your decision. When my DW and I decided to start camping a dear friend counseled us and said start out right away where you will ultimately end up. At that time we purchased a 34' Pace Arrow. As we look back we are happy we made that move.

Post often and share your RV adventures with us. Don't be afraid to ask questions as we have a great group here who like to help when they can.

Welcome to the forum Army Green. You will find this forum the best on the net. There are a lot of folks with a lot of knowledge, willing to help. Just ask your questions and you will get all kinds of help.

Our daughter and son in law live in Reno, we visit them often and just love the area and yes when people say "The Lake" everyone knows which lake.

Good luck and many happy and safe miles.
