Greetings from Salem, Oregon :)
Hello! We're basically Newbies in the process of making the transition from water to wheels. Sold our sailboat and purchased an 08 Winnebago View about 9 Mo. ago. Just traded in the View for a 09 Monaco Cayman.
First and foremost, the best things we've found about RVing (water OR wheels) is the warm, wonderful, friendly, intelligent and helpful people we've been thus far, honored to meet. We intend to try and hold up our end of that deal. I think we're going to be really happy we ran across this forum........no warranty :( So, if you spot us tacking, sorry "wallowing", up and down our nations freeways and back roads, shout words of encouragement as you pass by ..........my hands are probably embedded in the wheel......LOL Wonderful to meet you all

Jpat, welcome to iRV2.com, the home of "... thoughtful exchange of knowledge, values and experiences among RV enthusiasts". We are glad to have you join us here and welcome to the landlubber side of RVing. At least if your coach leans going around a corner, it won't bother you like does some of the others on here. Let us know if we can be of any help with questions. Take care and enjoy!

Welcome to the site. My wife and I moved from Tri Cities WA last year to Maryland. We didn't realy like the desert in WA. We did enjoy Salem, and went there a few times. Hope to get back that way some time. K-man

Thanks K-man Boy, that's an interesting relocation! I was raised in Auburn, Wa., moved back and forth between Wa. and Or. a few times and finally settled in Portland for 35 years. Moved to Salem 4 years ago. Nice to get to a little more sedate place I spent 6 weeks in Bainbridge, MD one summer in the early 70's and LOVED it! Thought it was very much like "home" Wife and I are anxious to make the big trip to the E. Coast, soon as I'm not a "hazzard to navigation" .........lol Looking forward to some Main Lobster! Jpat
