GREETINGS from The Alamo City

New Friends,

My name is "Tex" and I currently reside in San Antonio, near Ft Sam Houston, as I'm a retired soldier.

I was a full-time RVer in the late 1980s and early 1990s, until I was stationed OCONUS for several years.

Currently, I'm looking for an older Class C motorhome to remodel to suit me. - Right now, a 1976 Dodge looks like the plan, as it has enough HP to pull my 16Ft boat/trailer well & has plenty of living space for one or 2 persons on extended camping/fishing/hunting trips.

yours, tex

76 Dodge chassis Class C would have been available with a 440, they stopped building those in 78.
That will haul your boat!
Welcome to the forums good luck in your search . Post pictures as you start your project.

Howdy and welcome aboard. We had a 76 Coachman Class C 22' back then but ours only had the 360. We had a lot of good times with that rig. Good luck in your search.

THANKS everyone for the KIND WELCOME.

The little Class C is a one-owner coach with 48,900 miles total. = It now belongs to the widow of the man who bought it new & she has seldom used it since his passing. - Her "asking price" is 1500.oo OBO.

The body shows NO signs of anything except desperately needing a through general cleaning inside/outside, 2 new batteries (Both are over 6 years old.) & re-upholstery of the front seats that are Sun-damaged. - The carpet could stand being replaced, too.

THANKFULLY, I can NOT find a sign that the coach has ever leaked a drop of water anywhere.

Wish me luck, satx

Tex,
Don't forget to check the date code on the tires. Most advice is to replace if they are 7+ years old and a must by 10 years old. Just trying to help.
Enjoy the 4th.
