Greetings from the Great Northwest

Hi,
I'm new to the forum and relatively new to RV'ing. I was pointed over here from a diesel forum I often frequent. We bought our first RV back in August and since I already had a suitable TV we went with a fiver. It was a leftover 2010 Outback 30', brand new and went on our first RV experience that same month out to southeastern Oregon and Idaho with zero issues despite 100° temps. Then on one of our trips earlier this year I blew the head gaskets on my 6.0L . Long story short I dumped it and got a new rig. Did our first tow with the new rig last weekend up on the Washington coast. We had no issues and the new truck seemed to barely notice the weight.

Have a week trip planned for late August out to Wallowa Lake, Oregon. We would like to spend a night or two on the way back home towards Portland somewhere between Pendleton and Boardman. I'll check the forums here for any recommendations.

Here's a few pics.

My truck in this image was my former '06 F350 6.0L.

My new rig.

The KOA at Pendleton is fairly basic, but the price was reasonable when we stayed last month. It was very close to the Pendleton Underground Tour which is a wonderful peek into history, Oregon history and Pendleton history -- if you are into that.

I'm sure there are many good places along your route, but we found this KOA most suitable.
