Greetings from the Sunshine State

Howdy, folks! Checking in from Jacksonville, Florida. We’re both retired Navy, tying up loose ends here before we break away from the sticks and bricks and hit the road. Of course, first we have to find a new home (on wheels). That’s why we’re here. We’re looking forward to picking your brains, learning what we can, and sharing our journey with all of you.

Welcome to the Forum and thanks for your service to our country.. It sounds like you both will be on a new adventure to have fun. We just started fulltiming in December 2013. We sold the house and purchased a used MH and never looked back.

We love the lifestyle and freedom to travel around. Best of luck.

Happy RV'ing

Welcome! I lived on Fleming Island in my teens. Parents had a place on the river. Really miss that area.

Welcome to the gang, John & Kelly! And...thanks for your years of service to our homeland. You came to a great set of forums to find information on RVing. The folks here have been a great help to us as we researched a broad range of topics. If you have not already noticed, there are search options on almost every forum page...usually in the top right section of the page. Glad you decided to join!

Might be slim pickin's, but you've come to the right place.

Like Cliff, we now call FL home 4 to 6 months of the year. 25 years ago I put in for a transfer to Jacksonville, alas, it didn't work out.

Welcome to the forum! Mayport is our favorite FamCamp and go there often...its kind of our get away (From Indian Harbour Beach) if we have a few days.
Wish you luck on your adventure....and let us know the type of rig you're looking to full time in.....lot of knowledge here.
If you get by Mayport, we'll be there starting Wednesday for a few days.
Enjoy the journey.
