Hello everyone!
Not new to camping/rving been doing it for a long time. But am finally purchasing something more than a new tent for the back of the pickup. Gone sadly are the days of pitching a tent any ole place, and hunkering down with mother nature in my sleepingbag, my hair, my food, etc... I can no longer go any longer than 2 nights on the ground spasming in agony attempting to get to my knees after a cold night on a bed of pine needles if i was so fortunate.
Planning what will hopefully be another spectacular expansive road trip worthy of some fantastic laughs, and new words learned by all myself and my 2 closest long life friends are embarking on a road trip to the great state of Alaska next year... sometime in May( probably closer to the end than the first) I will be somewhere on the Alaskan Highway, basking in, or yikes( heaven forbid) under a motorhome ( which now looks like it will be a class c. either way it's North To Alaska, North the rush is on!
So I have some questions if someone will be so kind as to answer, or send me in the correct direction....1. When did Ford first put a throttle body, or a fuel injection of the 460 ci? 2. How many times have they changed/updated the engine and or engine block?
3. What kind of fuel economy do you get out of a Ford 460 in a 30' class c motorhome? 4. What year did they start with the OD transmission without the push button? 5. What year did they switch to a heavy duty truck transmission like the Allison?
and what did they call it..........................
Thank you all

Hi buginmyeye, welcome to the forum. You might want to consider turning off the bold and enlarging the font size. Us old blind folks can't read your post very well.

Welcome to the forum and happy travels,

My website describes the conversion of my Dodge B-250 van into a small RV. I deal with a lot of woodworking, but hope to be quite specific on solar as well.
