First I want to say what a wonderful web site this is. In the short time I have been visiting I have found answers to many of the questions I have had. I have yet to find any derogatory responses to a posted question. I am glad I found a site where camping enthusiasts can get together and chat about the good times.
We, the wife, two young boys, and I picked up our first cab over camper this fall. We live in Alaska, love the outdoors and know that this camper will allow us to enjoy our time exploring. We plan on using our camper as a comfortable resting place after long days of fishing on the salt water.
Waiting for spring to arrive and the salmon to start running.....

Welcome Alaska, as you say this is a great site. I have been browsing around for the past few days and have found nothing but help and friendly comments. NO FLAMERS HERE.
We are located over on the same side of the continent as you although quite a bit south. Hows the weather?? Ours is hovering around 0C (32F) and snowing.

fishalaska49, welcome to irv2
Alaska, have some fond memories of that state traveled all over the state from Northway to Circle,Big D to Anchorage and beyond was in Army signal corp P.E.I they called us, T.D.Y. most of the time. 57-58 working in A.C.S. COM centers and repeater sites. Ladd A.F.B. Elmendoff A.F.B.
You became a state in 58 they pulled bars out on to 4th Ave. what fun we had.
Plenty of wild life an fishing, got discharged at Fort Richardson tried to talk new bride into moving up but no such luck , could have worked for Gustdof Hurst out of Penn.
Took a trip to Alberta, Canada passed a road to Dawson almost turned 3000 miles but had kids an others with ties in states, but who knows maybe some day. "007"

Willyum, the weather up here has been pretty nice "so far" this year. It has generally been 15F to 20F, with only a few days of near 0. We only have a about an inch of snow so I have yet to sweep the camper off yet, whew. My family is looking forward to next spring so we can try out the camper.
I have been through your neck of the woods many times, I love it there. I have flown in a Cessna, traveled by camper, and car through your neck of the woods. I just love the trip from Idaho to Alaska, mostly the scenic areas in between.

Should you pass through Prince George sometime in the near future let me know and I'll spring for coffee. I'm moving south in a little over a year, after retirement, and will be located in Midway, just a little north of the border.
445 days till freedom
