Hello All,

My name is Mark, my beautiful wife Edwina and I are around a year away from starting our "full timer" adventure. After more than 23 years in the U.S. Army and raising 6 successful children we have decided it's okay for edwina and I to do our own thing for awhile. I guess the only question on our minds is, just how long will we be happy on the road. Truth is I am super excited to find out.

Edwina has raised our children, followed me to ever corner of the planet or wherever the Army sent me and somehow completed her MBA. She is an amazing lady and I am super excited to spend the rest of my life following her, and for now it's as a full-time RVer.

We are close to choosing our coach and would appreciate any guidance. Are wants are diesel pusher, 40ft or less, new or gently used, around 250K. We are seriously looking at the Entegra TK 38M, Tiffin Allegro Bus 40SP and the 37AP...

Any thoughts on those coaches or other coaches for first time (committed) full timers?

Thanks and we are so excited to start this epic adventure with such great people like those on this blog!

Howdy Mark,

Thank you and congrats on surviving the 23 years in the Army. (I gave the Air Force 22).

Good luck on your new adventure of full timing. With 6 children you will probably spend a lot of time visiting each of them and having your own home with you will make it a lot easier for all of you.

It is hard to beat a Tiffin since you can take it back to the factory at Red Bay, Alabama for service if you need to. Bob Tiffin has been known to cover items that are out of warranty.

Welcome Mark, We're on a similar track! I'm retiring Jan 2016 and we plan to be on the road FT by late fall 2016. We're still shopping coaches. Came really close on pulling the trigger a couple of times. We're looking at mainly Tiffin busses or possibly a Newmar Dutchstar (side radiators). Good luck in your seach. Have you checked in to the Tiffin RV forum? Lots of good info there as well as here.
Cheers! Don

Thank you all for the warm welcome.

Quick update on our status, we have finally made a major decision and narrowed our coach to the 2016/17 Tiffin Allegro Bus 40AP model. We are still on active duty (Army) while I recover from a recent right total hip replacement, right knee shrapnel/micro-fracturing and a anterior neck fusion (ACDF), with another total hip replacement later this year (all souvenirs from Iraq and Afghanistan) we have a year or so before the Army puts me out to pasture...and meanwhile, my beautiful wife not only cares for me while I recover but works everyday as an Accountant for the DoD. We are almost there folks, and believe us when we say, we can't wait to join you great people around a camp fire somewhere, heck, anywhere...

Some exciting news, we have made the initial leap toward our full-time RVing goal by purchasing our first (maybe last) "Toad"! We are very excited to soon hookup to our very nice Black 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit and simply drive off into a sunset.

Much more to follow from Mark and Edwina, AKA the soon to be "Rolling Reynolds" Click image for larger version
