Rambling and Wandering
With Pat &Linda
In June of 2011 Linda and I had decided that we would puchase a motor home and do some travelling. Looked at several motorhomes to the point of total confusion as to which to purchase finally deciding on a 2011 Forest River Forester 32 foot model class c 6.8Litre triton engine on 1 and half ton chassis
so far so good only some minor problems with motorhome.we are now in southern BC headed for the south west USA later in the year. There is just the wife and I .I am a retired heavy duty mechanic with three grown daughters
and grandkids ect

Welcome! Information overload is real easy to get when you first start your search. A,B,C, gas FRED, RED. Sometimes it all runs togather. Anyway, it appears you've made it through that and some initial problems, so now kick back and enjoy the ride.

Welcome to the Forum. We looked at a Forester with an entertainment system in the front overhead instead of a bed. They were asking much more than our budget, so we didn't pursue it and ended up with a Class A instead.

I was a bit concerned about the amount of tail overhang on the Forester and the risk of overloading the rear axle, even when below the max GVWR.

If you're headed towards Anacortes anytime, send me a private message and we'll meet.

Sounds like you did what Deb and I have been doing since July. We were in Wyoming checking out the old state prision and met a couple with a small 19' cruise america rental. We commented later that it would be cool to have one to travel in because we could take the dog instead of boarding her and leave her in the MH at locations that didn't allow dogs. Then all the other reasons started coming out as to what we could do............. we've been looking at MH's for months. Finally got one last week. So we are learning about them too.
I hope you enjoy yours, I think we will like ours too.

Congrats and welcome... We also just started our travels this March... retired after 40 years with Harley Davidson, dealer tech, and decided to wet our feet. And overload is saying it lightly...lol... the budget is what helped us with our final choice...
