Hello All Wishin That Rain Rain Would GO!,
Hi all, I'm Sassyjvg, married with 4 boys, two grown and gone, and two ages 5 and 7. I am totally new to the whole camping scene, but the husband and I have been doing lots of homework and thought it would be a good way for the family to get out and have a good time so here we are. We are now excited, proiud owners of a new 2011 Keystone Outback TT, diving in head first. Although we made the purchase several months ago, we have yet to take her to any campground. Saying we have been hinderd by the constant rain filled weekends would probably be the understatement of the day, but that is what we've been dealing with here in the midwest. Anyhow, I hope the community will be kind to the new kids on the block as we embark on family adventures that hopefully begins a tradition to share of fun filled memories for a lifetime.

Welcome to iRV2. Just send the rain down to Houston. We could sure use it.

Welcome Sassyjvg to irv2.
You ought to take advantage with the rain and do some camping in driveway open slides if you have them check for leaks try all the appliances and just camp with family.
Its not always going to be raining while camping, I hope, but it does rain sometimes. Now is a good time to check everything out so you can have a good time when you do hit the road.
Congrats on your new TT many safe miles, enjoy the forums.

Welcome: I've owned two Outbacks and they are a great TT. As suggested, do the driveway camping to check out the systems before venturing forth.

Welcome to the forum, I know you will have a lot of good times in your TT. We could use some of your rain on the Gulf Coast also, as usual it is either feast or famine. When we bought our first RV, it was a new Jayco pop-up. From the time we pulled out of our drive, to the camp ground about 40 miles away, setting up, spending 2 nights and two days in it, taking down and pulling home it never stopped raining except for a few 10 minute periods. We sure got to check out how well it was made and it didn't leak. Sure glad we brought a lot of games with us to play with the kids.
