This is my first post here even though I have been lurking for some time now.

DW and I plan to become snowbirds about this time next year. And maybe fulltimers after we "test the waters" snowbirding.

We're at the stage where there are many, many decisions to consider and we're somewhat nervous about our plans - but it's fun, too. I'm sure we'll have questions.

We already love this website.

Welcome. This is a great site full of good people. I am sure you will find the answer to most of your questions here. The wife and I are on the same path. We will be spending a few months in Fl this winter and doing some more research on the life style.

I'm not a big "poster" either. We aren't snowbirds, but do get away in the fall and spring for 3-4 weeks each trip. While we're retired we are still held to the home turf do to college kids, three dogs, etc. Won't be too long, though, and we'll join the group for three-four months on the road. Enjoy!

Bald Eagle,

Glad to see your first post. Welcome to the site. I noticed you're from Ohio. We regularly camp with some folks from the middle and Eastern parts of Ohio. Maybe we'll run into you sometime next year.

Bald Eagle: Welcome to the site. I joined recently but have been monitoring for quite a while. It is an awesome site with loads of great information and most gracious people. I am responding to you for a couple of reasons, first of which to welcome you on board; 2nd - your title "Bald Eagle" got my attenion. I am one who truly loves this Great Nation and its symbol. Lastly, the bride (of some 40+ yrs) has family up in Columbus. We are down here in the Sunshine State since 86 coming from the Apple. We wish you the very best and safe traveling
