Hello Everyone... Another Newbie
Finally jumped in, purchased a 1997 Country Coach Allure. We looked for a Magna, just couldn't find one to fit us.....This coach fit like a glove... wifey loves it....our first DP... I am a retired ( March '11) Harley Davidson mechanic, 38 years... Diag with cancer in '09, worked 2 more years and woke up and wondered why ??? Time to slow down. Oh, and 29 months cancer free....lol... We had other rigs while the kids were growing up, trailers, tents, 34' gas MH..etc... Still have the S and B house, not going to give it away in this market, but it is all paid for so what the heck...Hope to have the rig all ready to roll out this weekend for her maiden voyage....parts unknown...soon to find it however...

We jumped in a little over a year ago as green rookies. Mid 60 year old green rookies! Hope you enjoy your DP, but most of all, here's wishing you all the best on remaining cancer free.

Congrats on the DP!! I bet you pull a trailer with a couple of beautiful bikes on it!! We jumped into the DP thing over the summer. We love the lifestyle. Six more years to go before retirement, though. Enjoy!!

Welcome! Nice looking rig. We retired in March also and our first official trip was from NC to CA. Gone 2 1/2 months. We were not able to sell our home so we rented it out. Loving this lifestyle and saw no point working until we were 65 or 70. We never know what tomorrow holds for us. Wonderful to hear you are cancer free.

Welcome! Glad you joined us. First I would like to say congrats on being cancer free! We also took the plunge in July having never camped before much less owned any type of rig. I'm sure our friends and family must think we have totally lost our minds. We are not doing the "full time" thing yet and possibly never will but are certainly enjoying this RV'ing adventure we are on more and more with each trip we take!

The best part of our trip was stopping to see people that we hadn't seen in 20-30 years We were able to spend time with DH brother and family.
I thought the same way your wife did at first on renting the house. But finally I was able to look at it this way. We were trying to sell and it was not going to happen in this market. I am not planning on ever moving back into that house and we have a mortgage So we will rent until the market picks up or just keep it as a rental. We did get a realtor to handle the lease, screening, etc. as we know nothing about being a landlord.
Give a shout when you are in NC and maybe we can meet up for a weekend.
