Hello Rod and welcome to irv2!

First locate your converter and check to see that you have 120v getting to it. If it is getting power then use a multi meter on the DC output lines. (If you don't have a multi meter get one, they're cheap) You should measure appx 13-14 volts. If you see 12.7 volts or less, there is no output from converter. Look for fuses at the converter and replace if needed. If still no output the converter may need replacement.

The best way to check converter output is to remove the 12 volt leads from the converter and measure directly at the converter output terminals. Depending on the model you have you should see appx 13.6 volts if it is working.

Please post back with your results and/or questions!

I had a convertor problem (WFCO) with my Motorhome and it was putting out 12.4 amp, yet not charging the Batteries. Took it to two shops for bench test and theysaid it was OK..Yet, if you call WFCO they said it needed to be putting out 13 + amps. Bought a new WFCO but it came with a 20 amp wall plug since govt said they needed it. So bought a Intell Power and plug it in and have no problems. Heck, I checked evey fuse , solinoid and wire for two weeks since I was told the old one was OK...Change the convertor.
