Hello all. I've been a life long camping enthusiast for as far back as I can remember. I spent a good portion of time growing up in San Antonio, TX and as anyone who has driven through Texas can confirm that meant a lot of road trips. I have been tent camping for all but the last 2 years of my life but when we had our baby the wife insisted on something more contained.
We now own a Fleetwood Santa Fe pop up that we've had for a year and loved it's features. We took it out once a month for 5 months straight last season finishing up with a Colorado camping trip in August. Not a single issue but I quickly found trailering to be a chore and having a squirming toddler and unhappy wife in the back seat was not ideal.
My dream was to be able to do road trips like days of old while keeping the family comfortable and content so this season I decided to make the leap to a motor home. I haven't bought one yet but am in the middle of working a deal now on an 05 Fleetwood Jamboree 29V. I got the price where I want it but have to wait on the pre-purchase inspection scheduled for next week. If all checks out I already have a weekend at White Sands National Monument planned for mid February (one of our favorite winter weekend get-a-ways) to test everything out.
I have already started exploring the camping ground reviews this site has and found most of the posts here to be friendly and informative so I figured I can't go wrong with joining up here. I look forward to sharing some of my camp ground reviews of Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, Colorado, and of course New Mexico. When I get the motor home I expect those number of states to expand quite quickly.
If you have any advice for a newbie motor home buyer I have all the specs in this post here:

I welcome any advice. Thanks!
