Hello from BC

Hi all!
New member and new to the whole RV thing. I was a die hard tenter/hiker for many years but lately its just too far from theground to a standing position. My wife is madam motorhome and spent many summers in rv parks.

So, we compromized and bought an old, very old, Itasca 21ft C . Gotta admit, there is something special about enjoying the rivers, lakes, parks & wilderness and still having all the comforts of home.

Oh! Wheres thebest place to buy a used awning or replacement fabric for ours?

Cheers!
CW

Welcome to the wide world of RV.
You could try a search on here about your awning question.
You could check Kijiji or your local rv dealers for awning material
Best of luck
Pat

Usually Used Awnings are not worth moving from vehicle to vehicle! You would be further ahead buying a New one!

canadawest, where in BC are you? We were through your beautiful province last year on our way to and from Alaska. I will have to say it was really wet though. It rained on us all the way up and all the back way while we were in BC. Kinda chilly also.

Hi Jerry.
That's why we call it the Wet Coast, hahaha. I'm in Abbotsford; a lower-mainland city near Vancouver.
Parts of BC can be very wet, but I'm surprised you got rained on a lot in the interior. The route through the Okanagan and North through to Dawson Creek and the Alaska Highway is often almost unbearably hot in the summer. At least by Canadian standards. Or did you take the coastal route through Cassiar? That can be a wet one.
By consolation, if you were rained on then you missed the alternative pleasure of the biggest, hungriest mosquitos in the known universe.
Still, that Alaska trip is undoubtedly the most beautiful scenery you have ever driven through.
