New member to this list, but not first RV. I currently own a 1988 Winnebago Superchief 31 footer that is in the proccess of being made inhabitable, drivable, and presentable. I bought it as a project knowing it would need a good deal of effort and $. Thus far it has has provided all that and more. I have previously owned a 2000 VW EuroVan Camper, 1999 Winnebago Rialta RD(nice mileage but crummy bath), and a 1994 Airstream 33' Land Yacht(great interior, lots of leaks). All of them have had their pluses and minuses. This time I wanted a much older unit that would allow my spousal unit to see if she like the nuances of rv'ing without spending a great deal to have a unit sit in the side yard and waste away. There is something about driving a "Classic" that is appealing. She still works to provide us with medical insurance, and I'm the dutiful house husband. (I pay my share from investments as well).

Anyhow, I've done some searching, learning, and have found many great questions and answers on this site, and hope to contribute at some point.

Tom
