Hello from Canada!

This site is a wealth of knowledge! We purchased a 2015 Keystone Hideout 38BHDS about 6 weeks ago and it's been all blocked up at our seasonal site. We didn't get much use out of it before I had to close it up but I'm happy with the unit.

Using the PDI checklist I found here along with other great tid bits of information I felt confident purchasing. Plus, I had a great experience with the dealer. I opted for the extended 7 year warranty. I was back and forth on it but decided that because our camper is set up permanently and will see a lot of use it was a good investment. I also opted for the awning covers for the slides. Again, because it's set up permanently and will help keep debris off the slides.

Also looked at a Salem and Wildwood unit of similar layout/size. I keep reading about Keystone's sub par quality however after looking at those units the Hideout was on a completely different level of quality. Fit and finish was sub par on those units, they looked more thrown together.

I'll be continuing to read and gather information from these boards. One thing I ripped out was the check valve for the blank tank flush system. I read that the plastic oem valve is junk. That proved correct it already had a small leak. I built my own one way valve out of brass fittings.
