Debbie and I have camped for 33 years. We enjoyed the tents,a pop-up,a truck camper, two travel trailers and now love the motorhome. We use to make fun of the "huge" campers " for being over the top but we got wiser (lazy). Our Winnebago is soon to be our "primary residence" with a second home on Smith Mountain Lake in VA.
I do all the repairs / maintenance I am capable of on the Vectra and am looking forward to the forum as a resource and for meeting others with our yearn to explore.
Enjoy the trip!

Welcome to the forum David, you will find this group to be a friendly bunch of people willing to help in any way possible.

Where at Smith Mountain are you located? I live outside of the Roanoke/Vinton area so if you ever need anything feel free to hollar...

Charles

David & Debbie;

Welcome to iRV2. We are glad you joined us. Congratulations on your move to a Winnebago Vectra. If you would like to be recognized as a Winnebago Owner I would be happy to help you with that if you ask. We also have a Winnebago Chat on Tuesday nights at 9 PM EST and you are most welcome to join us there when ever you have time and desire.

Don

Welcome, I grew up in TN, and played basketball in HS. We made many trips across the mountain to play Chapel Hill.

Welcome D & D to a wonderful site you will enjoy. There is always someone eager to help answer most any question you may have. Doesn't it feel good to set in the big chair and ride along the highway ? We all have come up through the ranks so to speak from the Tent era and onto the Pop-up's. Now you can enjoy it in the best of the best. Good luck, and travel safe.

Isn't that close to Bay Rock? I'm just outside of Vinton off of Hardy Road.

DesertRV,
Thanks for the welcome!
Chapel Hill is in the Piedmont near Raleigh. Are you thinking of Mars Hill?

David,
Thanks for the welcome! Yeh, when you start in a tent it really makes the "big chair" a blast. The first thing we noticed is how much better you can see the countryside.
I'm really impressed so far with the forum.

We are 4 miles north of 122. Grimes Creek lane is our closest GPS listed Rd.
