Hello from Charlotte, NC
Hey all. RV newbie here from Charlotte, NC. Looking forward to learning from everyone’s experiences and learning all about our exciting new travel trailer. It’s been a bit nerve-wracking, but can’t wait to be comfortable with it.
We have a 28’ 2019 Forest River Salem Cruise Lite travel trailer. Any and all tips and tricks are welcome
Thanks
Mike

Hello and welcome. I'm pretty new to the site and RV'ing myself so I can give some entry level advice.
1. Have fun. That's what its all about. If a certain part of the experience is stressful find out why and work to fix it.
2. Take it slow. Rushing through things can quickly cause you to fail at #1. Some things will be overwhelming at first, but it only takes a few trips to feel like an old pro at most of the things that will initially stress you.
3. You don't need every new gadget and toy on the market. If you have wheel chocks, a fresh water hose, sewer hose, and power cord you can survive you first trip. Find things you like and add them as you go.
4. As a fellow resident of the Carolinas, the state parks are great and all over the place. We've explored more small towns since getting our camper than I would have ever imagined.

Welcome to the forum to both of you. Therabidlama has give some great advice. Also remember to pack a good attitude. It is an RV and a new one at that so some things will have a problem as you break the rig in.
You are joining a good group of folks here with good info to share.
Enjoy the adventure!
