Hello from Chula Vista, Calif.

We just purchased a 2004 Bounder 36S and became empty-nesters and full-timers January 1 with our two pugs. Happy New Year and New life! I'm disabled recently and left my corporate career of 22 years, the old man owns his own real estate brokerage firm. Maybe not for long as I really want to hit the road. First stop is outside of San Antonio, TX to spend time with my dad. Then the grand adventure to the Kenai Peninsula of Alaska for the birth of the first grandchild in June. See you out on the road!!

Hello fellow Californian, welcome to this great group of people.
One reason we bought an RV this year was to spend more time up north in comfort, while visiting our new and first grandchild! So far we feel we totally made the right decisions.

How great to make it to Alaska and the added joy of the grandchild! We may cruise up there with family members this year, then take the RV up again next year.

It's so nice to have all these things to look forward to. Have fun!

Howdy. I was born in Chula, pretty much grew up down the road in Imperial Beach. Been fulltiming almost 5yrs. now. You're going to love the Alaska trip. Done it twice, and would go back in a heartbeat. If you love to fish, the Kenai is the place to be. Welcome aboard.

Welcome! And hello from Bay Park. I'm and old Rohr > Goodrich > United Technologies employee - so many years in CV.

We did our Alaska trip this year, on our Retirement Victory Tour - 100's of times more than we had envisioned. More? Wildlife, fun, scenery, great people, great fellow RV'ers - etc., etc. We spent 4th July in Seward, where they have the Race up/down the mountain marathon. Great small town parade, and some great eats from all of the church fundraisers. One of the highlights of the trip was that week in Seward area!

Have fun, take your time, and travel safe,
Smitty
