Hello from Illinois

Hi all. My name is Steve and my wife and I recently purchased our first RV. It's not much but you have to start somewhere right? We go to a few motorcycle rallies during the summer and there usually isn't much, if any, shade which makes for miserable tent camping conditions when you party all night and try to sleep on a 90 degree day. This year it rained a few times which combined with hangovers and a lack of sleep, left us just a little damp and grumpy. haha. Being fall and since I'm pretty handy, we bought a 1985 Pace Arrow motorhome. It has some leaks (which I've sealed already) and needs a little TLC before we drive too far but for $1800, I don't think I can complain. We've taken our kids camping a couple weekends since we bought it in September and to say they love it is an understatement. I think it has already got $1800 worth of smiles out of the kids already. We're all really excited about next summer! Especially the wife and I since we will be able to maximize our time away at the motorcycle rallies by being able to sleep comfortably in the air conditioned comfort of Erv. Oh yeah, I named it Erv. Glad to be here

Great buy. Memories alone are worth the price. Enjoy it and have safe travels.

Nice looking old rig, it looks like you done good! BTW there a forum here that caters to older RV's that you might want to post on too. I'm sure the people there would love to see it. Look for the Vintage RV's forum.
