Thanks to you as well Dean.

Yep, the Navy funnels many enlistees to submarine service ...at least they did while I was in (77-85). I remember there being a guy aboard our boat who demanded to be transferred off. I think his dad was an admiral so it happened lickity-split.

Thanks for the tip regarding Lichtsinn Motors. I'm pretty satisfied how repairs and modifications I've undertaken have turned out. One big thing though, that I will have looked at by a professional is the drive train. While driving the unit to & from the campground I haven't had the moxy to take the speed past 55 mph. At first I thought the noise we heard above that speed was a loose fan or alternator belt ...but now I think it may be a bearing in the transmission. I dunno. As long as we stick to local camping via secondary roads I can avoid pushing the unit into "that noise" range. But if we decide we want to hit the interstate and go seventy I'm going to want a mechanic to check it out beforehand.

Welcome to the forum. Congrats on the RV. Did aircraft carrier, but don't think I could have done a sub. Glad I was an Airdale...
