Sorry about the bad luck on the 2 blowouts. We too, are new to this site and are originally from MI.. so our first trip with our new RV after retiring in June will be back to MI... Charlevoix to be exact. Enjoy your RV, we are looking forward to spending time with ours. BTW - go to your profile and you can create a signature.

Thanks Everyone. Reading through all your posts I have a few things to add to my list for shopping. After your comments I know what I need to help out with some of last years mishaps so they wont happen this year.
Our first time out last year we:
* Got stinky water from a camp ground.. (We will invest in one of those filters)
* blew the line off at one of them sending that water into our bedroom and all over the floor. ( we will buy a water pressure gauge or use the one that was there.)
* forgot to put the cap on the outside water spout and lost it. (Will try to figure out where to get one of those)

*had the 2 blowouts one right after taking care of another, realizing that our tire size is in fact rare! Or at least very hard to find on a Holiday weekend- 8 R 19.5 and due to the clearance in the back dual tires we can not convert to the 225/70 19.5 ( I will look into one of those pressure gauge monitoring systems when we get the new tires.)
Something else I learned from reading here the boards ...
* Adding Kitty liter though out the RV today in little bins to help with the Moisture and keep it fresh.
*I need to check out Sleep Hollow and Wish I had horses.
*Thanks for directions on how to make a signature.
Hopefully we meet some of you in our adventures.

If you guys go to Sleepy Hollow let me know as it is 20 minutes from my house. We could meet up and share "oops" stories as newbies. We all do them.

Best of luck to you. Also buy some Simple Green. It will clean everything and anything that cleaning products made especially for that will not. Like your awning.
Love the sunshine and warmer weather!

Hello fellow Michiganders

We bought our first motorhome last year and have been working on it to get her up to par.We bought a 1993 Fleetwood Coronado from California.Only one real trip so far.Went to Arkansas and back.It has a Chevrolet chassis and the steering was rough.I think I have her about ready to compare to a Cadillac with all the upgrades just about done. Getting the front end lined up when the weather breaks and see how she does.Hello all and hope all stays safe on their journeys.

We actually took our first trip close to home in Northern Michigan and the U.P. With all the travels the prior year across the U.S. I still love our home state.
