Hello from MS

Hi all,

My wife and I just purchased our first motorhome and are really enjoying it. We have two small boys (who love it as well) and are looking forward to many weekend excursions with them. We settled on a '93 Fleetwood Bounder 34J that is in great condition. This site has been great for getting "up to speed" on all the little things involved with RVing. Being a '93 there are a few things that need upgraded like the TV's and the blinds.....but other than that, I'll be patient and pace myself. Oh...and the roof is not far from needing attention. I've repaired obvious neglected areas but I can see that it won't be long before i'll need to dedicate a weekend to address the inevitable.

Till then....happy trails,

Joe, Julie, Mason, & Logan

Welcome to the forum, although it sounds like you have been here a number of times before your purchase. It looks like you have selected a nice motorhome to share a lot of good times with your family. What part of MS are you from, we are from D'Iberville right next to Biloxi.

Thanks, I've been looking and reading up on RV's for sometime now trying to get an idea of what to expect. Ran up on this one and couldn't let it pass me up....besides it's custom painted in Maroon ...No good Bulldog fan worth his salt would have passed on it.

We live in Brandon, just east of Jackson. Took it to Starkville for the Kentucky game last weekend on our maiden voyage and had an absolute blast. I plan on taking a few trips your direction next year when "beach weather" decides to join us again.

Joe,

Welcome to the forum. My boys were 4, 8 and 10 back in 1998 when got our first motorhome. Two are now in college and one in high school and they still go on vacations with us because they are such a blast. They've been to 48 states, a ka-gillion national parks, etc. You won't regret your decision to buy the rig and give your boys great vacations.
