Hi everyone, new here so I wanted to introduce myself. Also fairly new to RV'ing, got our TT in October of last year, so we only have about 6 short trips under our belt, but have loved every minute.

We live right outside of New Orleans, so the weather is getting close to the point of storing the RV for the summer, but we are going to try to get at least one or two more trips before it gets too hot.

Looking forward to getting to know people here on the forum, always nice to meet people with the same interests and hobbies.

Here are a couple of pics of our set up....and my other toy.

Steve

Thanks for the welcomes!

Don, I have family in Greenwell Springs, on Triple B Road. Small world. They, too, are RV'ers, driving a Class C. We get up there every so often.

Ok, off to work for now....I owe, I owe, it's off to work I go. Thanks again, 'til next time, Cheers!

Glad to get Don some more company over in Cajun country.

Sue, yes camping season is just about over in the South. The Louisana state bird (the mosquito) is staring to realy get thick about now. If you plan to camp, you need to take about 2 pints of spare blood per day per person. Small dogs don't stand a chance. Just ask Don

Well I pass within spittin distance of Triple "B" almost daily. GO down Greenwell SPrings road on the way to the shop. Pass through the light at SUllivan. Used to hunt where Comite Hills subdivision is now. WHen Triple "B" was only about a half mile long. Man I hated it when they built that subdivision! Took away my favorite huntin area.

Drop a message the next time yall are up this way. It would give us a good excuse to go eat at Brunet's. (I look for ANY excuse to eat there)

Oh yea, I was just across the LAke from yall Sunday. Took Mom over to Mortons for dinner (Lunch for the yankee's readin this ) mothers day.

Again welcome to the board.

Hi Steve,

Welcome aboard iRV2, Sorry to hear the camping season is winding down. Up North we're just starting our season.

Last year we had the opportunity to spend several days camping at Bayou Segnette and Fontainebleau State Parks, after the invitation to visit by another iRV2 member. The trip from Pennsyvania to New Orleans was certainly worth it. I'll never forget the sight of those moss covered trees at Fountainbleau and my kids will never foget holding an alligator at one of the local farms.

Hello Steve and Lori,
We are just across the pond in New Orleans from Slidell. Had a pop-up, two trailers, and now a MH.

This is a great forum. I have learned a lot from friends here. Sherri and I camp around the local area a lot. Our next trip will be at High Hill Ranch in Carrere Miss. They have horses and a great trail ride. This will be on the Memorial day weekend.

The campground is pretty, but a bit hilly. Water and electric only.

We also camp a lot at Fontainebleau.

Hope to meet you along the trail.
Walt and Sherri

Fountainbleau is very nice, haven't been to Bayou Segnette yet, but heard good things about it.

It does get warm, we could camp in the summer, but I think all I'd want to do is be inside in the AC. When it gets above 95, with almost 100% humidity, it's all I can do to make it through the work day. (work outside)

Carriere Ms. is where my Parents live, but haven't camped there yet either. Been there as a kid to ride horses with our church group, but that's about it. May have to check it out soon.

Steve
