We have a 2009 Winnie View 24H. We really enjoy it, have had it a little over a year. We've put about 16,000 miles on it. We live in South Carolina, spend a lot of time at the State Park Beaches. Also travel back and forth to Wisconsin where we used to live. Only problem we had with the coach was a water leak at the skylight dome. One suggestion, watch where you get your diesel. Fuel filter got plugged once.

You can be sure you'll have fresh fuel at truck stops. If they are not available, then look for busy stations. Keep in mind there are two types of fill nozzles, one for trucks (Big) and one for auto diesel. The auto diesel is usually in the auto islands but sometimes at the ends of the truck islands. The view has the smaller opening for auto diesel. Do use it if it says bio-diesel. The MB Warranty restricts use of bio-diesel.

Your going to love your View. What model and year are you getting?

It's a 2011 24J with the bed in the rear and fridge and dinette on the slide with cab bunk. REALLY excited to get it...have had 3 class C's 22-24 foot models. Bought the 24J because its drive-ability seems better for us getting older folks!!!

I meant to say: DO NOT USE IT IF IT SAYS Bio-Diesel. Sorry if my note was confusing.

The drive-ability of the View is great. I can get into small spaces and park just about anywhere. If you can back in where there's a grass island behind you in a parking lot, you'll just need one parking space. Once took a wrong turn in the mountains pulling a boat, after realizing my mistake, I had to turn around without any extra space on a gravel road. Unhitched the boat, did a 3 point turn with the MH and rehitched the boat (fortunately, it was a small boat and did have some folks to help), but I would have never been able to do that if it was any bigger. Only thing I wish it had was a little more outside storage.

You'll love your View.

Congrats on your new rig. Although I don't have a Winnie, I am from Ma. The Dw and I are empty nesters who live in the eastern part of our state. Favorite campground is Normandy Farms. Right now we are in Ohio just finishing week 2 of our 6+ week road trip. Many happy miles and smiles.

We were in lake George last week. We leave tomorrow for Gettyburg from ohio Amish country. Should be home in Ma middle of Aug. to rest and work for 10 days then off to Normandy Farms for the Labor Day weekend. Then back to school. Naby happy miles and smiles with your new rig. Hope the shake down goes well. Maybe we will run into each other. During the summer we travel , but the school year we camp local.

Shakedown was GREAT...headed toward finger lakes in NY but somehow kept going west to Elkhart, ID to see Camping Hall-of-Fame Museum. It was great. Stopped in finger lakes on way home...waiting now until AFTER labor day and then off on fall trips, mostly weekend stuff.

VIEW is doing great at about 16 mpg. Tires pumped up to 75 lbs. CB mounted on drivers mirror with 4' fire-stick. Doesn't broadcast well but seems to pick up OK.

Getting used to slide..QUESTION...does one park high-side on driver's side so that when slide goes out it levels off better????

Lots talk about the oil for the diesel...I put in Amsoil's 15W/40 European oil that DOES meed MB requirements....runs smooth and quiet.
