Hello from Nor Cal

Hi all,

My name is Rich. I have been looking into RV Forums for a while now. This one looks like a great one to join.

Permission to enter?

My wife(Patricia) and I love to go camping and fishing, so when we go, we usually head somewhere where there's a body of water.

We acquired a 16' 1972 Roader from her sister just over a year ago. Their dad had used it a lot when he would travel to construction sites. It works, but, it does look like it has seen better days.

I have a fishing boat and want to tow both, so, I am now in search of a 5er.

I will be doing a lot of reading on this forum with some questions.

Anyways, looking forward to learnin' and chattin'.

Thanks,

Rich

Just passed through, Northern Calif, on my way home, Shasta area resivoirs , highest I've seen them in the past 6 years, hope that translates into a great year for boating & fishing.

Welcome to the forum. We're glad you found us. You're from my old neck of the woods.

When you mention you want to tow both a trailer and the boat... are you speaking of doing that at separate times? I don't believe California allows triple towing.

Rick

Hello Skip, thanks for the welcome. We have not been to Shasta Lake yet, but, hopefully we will get the chance someday.

Hello Rick, thanks for the welcome. My apologies for the confusing post.

I don't want to have tow the camper and the boat at separate times with my truck (what a long trip that would be), and I'm not going for triples, just doubles.

Not legal, here in California, to tow 2 bumper-pull trailers at the same time, so, I am wanting to replace my bumper-pull camper for a fifth wheel camper and tow the fishing boat behind the 5er.

Hi Rich! Welcome to IRV2! It's great to have you join us!

Hope you find the right 5er for your needs. We pulled a 5er for 10 years before getting the MH last year. We loved it!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Thanks MSHappyCampers(Joe & Annette). We are taking our time choosing a 5er, but when we choose one I'm thinking more vacation days.
